This week in Lagos, Data Science Nigeria (DSN) opened the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Start-up Incubation and Research Hub, Yaba, the country’s Silicon Valley.

The AI hub will be the first private-sector funded initiative after the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics set up in Abuja last year by the federal government through the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

“The continent is indeed set for a high-impact application of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science to build home-grown solutions in critical areas like Financial Inclusion, Health, Education, Agriculture and Governance” said Dr. Olubayo Adekanmbi, Lead Mentor, DSN.
