BREAKING! A new date for the Africa Digital Economy Forum (ADEF) webinar series will be announced. 

 

 The Africa Digital Economy Forum (ADEF) is set to host its monthly webinar ‘ADEF series.” This month is focusing on unlocking investments for economic growth and sustainability.

ADEF is a non-profit initiative aimed at achieving full digitization of Africa’s economies.

According to President of ADEF, Olusola Teniola, the webinar will discuss the role of investment in building a sustainable African digital economy for an assured future.

The webinar is scheduled to hold via zoom on Wednesday, March 9th between 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

ADEF was launched in the first quarter of 2021 for stakeholders including technology and service providers, policy drivers and sectoral leaders to have a rallying ground to focus on the transformative powers of Africa’s steadily growing and booming digital economy.

The webinar theme for March is: Investing in Africa Digital Economy; Building the future today. The webinar will discuss, explore and advocate for the right policies and important issues and opportunities that will ensure the realization of full pace African digital economy.

Africa is gradually making its transition to technology-enabled economies. In the last two decades, the continent has witnessed a rash of investments, policies and regulations targeting to improve the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure environment. The results have been a mix of blessings and disappointments. But Africa marches on.

There is a conscious drive-in government to lay the foundations for a vibrant digital economy driven by millions of the continent’s young innovative youths.

According to research, Africa’s digital economy will hover over $300 billion by 2025. The increasing digitalization of the economy is creating expansive opportunities across sectors with greater potential for more inclusive growth development. It’s in the above ADEF Series seeks to build an environment open to business growth and youth empowerment.

ADEF’s Teniola said the event is targeted at deepening Africa digital economy which he described as a major force in promoting youth empowerment and in combating African unemployment.  

He said that African countries must go digital to successfully foster technology-enabled economies.

The Founding CEO of ADEF, Mr Akin Naphtal, added that the  “ADEF Series will bring together policymakers and stakeholders in the tech enabling ecosystems to build a sustainable digital-driven economy in Africa.

“The webinar series is designed to bring together experts and tech professionals with a view to sharing valuable ideas that can help the youths and businesses to thrive and build a focused based digital economy for Africa prosperity and advancement.”
